THE HENGE
"VINKENES"
| The Henge Garden is a three tier sunken water and rock garden. The water source is an artesian spring with a seasonal stream adding to the flow. The northern rim of the upper ring is edged by a small bog area. Large columnar basalt stones, some towering 16 feet high, are accented with mature blue pfitzer junipers in pom pom form. Weeping giant sequoias add to the mystic mood of this garden. Vase shaped "blaauw" plumosa and other collector conifers, along with the ancient pillars make this garden a "must" for a walk through to get the full effect. The garden is still under construction. |
